It’s hard to believe that The Lumberyard is officially one year old.

What started as an idea—a vision for a space where small businesses, creativity, and community could come together—has grown into something far more meaningful than we ever imagined. As we celebrate our first anniversary, we want to pause and simply say: thank you.

From day one, this community has shown up in ways that matter.

You’ve shopped small.
You’ve shared posts and spread the word.
You’ve attended events, stopped by just to look around, and encouraged the businesses that call The Lumberyard home.

Every visit, every conversation, every bit of support has helped shape what this space has become.

A Home for Small Businesses

One of our greatest joys this past year has been watching local businesses grow within these walls. The Lumberyard was created to be more than a building—it was meant to be a place where entrepreneurs could take a chance, build something meaningful, and feel supported while doing it. Seeing offices filled, shops thriving, and ideas coming to life has been incredibly rewarding.

More Than a Space—A Community

What we’ve learned this year is that community isn’t built by brick and mortar alone. It’s built by people who believe in one another. The Lumberyard exists because of a shared belief that small towns, small businesses, and local connections truly matter.

We’re grateful for:

  • Our tenants who trusted us and invested their dreams here
  • Our customers who continue to choose local
  • Our community who cheers us on and shows up

Looking Ahead

As we step into year two, we’re excited for what’s ahead—more connections, more growth, more events, and more opportunities to support local businesses and families. We’re committed to continuing to build a place that feels welcoming, inspiring, and rooted in community.

Thank you for being part of our first year. We truly couldn’t have done this without you.

Here’s to many more years at The Lumberyard—and to the Seneca community that makes it all worthwhile. 💛
